$16.29/hour: wage a full-time worker would need to earn to afford a typical 2-bedroom apartment
1999-2004: home prices increased 11 times faster than incomes
$264,700: median sales price of single family home in 2004
1,564: children stayed in an emergency shelter last year

It doesn't have to be this way.

We can and must do better. The Statewide Housing Action Coalition is committed to ending this crisis and promoting safe, appropriate, and affordable housing as a right for all Rhode Islanders.
